From the shopping bag to the plate.

Food goes in once. After that, the app keeps track of it for you: what to use first, what you can cook, and what to buy.

Shop→Kitchen→Use first→Cook→Shopping list

A photo fills the shelf

Photograph the fridge door or a cupboard. Claude lists the food, guesses how long each thing keeps, and you tick what’s right.

Receipts do the rest

Snap the till receipt and the whole shop goes in at once, ticked off your shopping list as it goes.

Barcodes, free

Scan or type a barcode and we look it up in Open Food Facts. No AI, so it never counts against anything.

Use-by dates that nag gently

Anything going off in three days sits at the top, recipes use it first, and a short email on the day you choose lists it.

Recipes you can make now

Ready now, or missing one to three things. Sort by time, by how hard, or by what uses the food that’s going off.

Everyone’s own exclusions

Vegetarian partner, a child who won’t touch mushrooms, a nut allergy. Set them per person and pick who you’re cooking for.

A week in one tap

Fill the empty dinners, with food going off first, then send everything missing to one list.

Shop where you shop

Each item links to a search at Tesco, Sainsbury’s, Asda, Ocado or Amazon, or in Japan at Amazon, Rakuten or Yahoo!.

English and Japanese

The whole app, recipes included, in either language. Pounds or yen.

Free. Plus is £2.25 a month, or £19 a year.

The free plan is the whole app with 5 AI uses a month: photos, receipts and recipe suggestions. Plus raises that to 100 a month for the household. That’s what the AI costs us, plus a margin we show you on the costs page. See our costs.

Questions, answered plainly.

What counts as an AI use?

Reading a shelf photo, reading a receipt, one set of recipe suggestions, or filling the week’s dinners. Barcodes, typing, the plan and the list are free and unlimited. A call that fails doesn’t count.

Can I trust it with allergies?

It helps, but it isn’t a safety system. Suggestions leave out what each person can’t eat, and we hide any recipe that names it anyway. AI can be wrong and products change, so always read the label.

Do you keep my photos?

No. A photo is sent to Claude to read and then dropped. We keep the food names you tick, not the picture.

Do you make money from the shop links?

No. They’re plain searches on the shop’s own site. No affiliate codes, no tracking.

What happens if I stop paying for Plus?

You go back to free. Nothing is deleted or locked.

Is there an app in the App Store?

Not yet. Open MyOwnLarder in your phone’s browser and add it to your home screen. It works like an app.
